    These floating planters are great. They are low profile so do not detract from the aesthetics of your pond, while offering protection to the roots of your plants from being devoured by the Koi. I have used these for years and very pleased with them. The only con is they are a bit on the expensive side.

    The water hyacinth grew great in the protector. Found out I needed the next size up.
