The Matala Pump Defender is made of premium Matala filter media. With a pond pump sitting inside the Pump Defender's circular form, the filter material acts as a pump prefilter. (pump not included.)
The Pump Defender easily captures large debris during pump operation, reducing potential clogging and prolonging the life of your pump. Designed to fit most pumps, this prefilter is practically universal.
The included nylon mesh bag is made to enclose the Pump Defender as it surrounds the pump. The bag provides more protection for the pump and has a drawstring to keep its top closed.
