Nelson's Waterfall Spillway is an excellent option for easily installing a spillway in your water garden. Sturdy and durable, this unit is easy to conceal with rocks or foliage to create an effective and natural looking waterfall. It also can be used to make a disappearing stream.
Both models have a 1 inch FPT bulkhead water inlet located in the center of the back. The 9.5" spillway accepts 3/4" ID hose with the included fitting whereas the 15.25" spillway accepts 1" ID hose with included fitting. The spillway lip extends out about 4 inches from the front.

Pitched weir works great!
We used to use a flat lipped waterfall box, but after time it stopped flowing properly. A stiff wind would cause it to flow backwards. This box by Nelson's has NO issue with wind, flows calmly and perfectly. The pitch to the lip helps significantly. Nice width and depth box for planting or putting additional filter media in. Highly recommend if you're having trouble with flat waterfall outlet boxes.v
